Internet usage in India

India is seemed as a booming IT market with IT exports expected to grow by around 30%. Still India's internet penetration seems to be low. It is found that only 5% of the Indians have access to the Internet on an average.Plus it is confined to only the metros and hitech cities. The rural and semiurban areas are still to be explored. Also, internet trade and online banking in India is very low when compared to other countries. Most of the internet users don't know google which is shocking. The quality of Indian websites are also not on par with their internationals barring a few.The Government has come up with the NIC website but still a lot is to be done.
Internet education is still in the infancy stage in India and a lot has to be done to make people enlightened.
After all, our people consider a television more important than computers.
Some top Indian sites to visit though they offer nothing by way of intellect except a few
